How do you host a pool party event?

Poolside parties are a fabulous way to entertain your family and friends during hot summer days. Here is the best way to do it:

1.  Plan in advance

Book the venue on time. Here at the Plunge, there are a few kinds of party events. Plunge Parties are in a designated lounge area, including one lounge-style seat, a couch, a bench, and access to our state-of-the-art obstacle course. You can also opt for a Premium Plunge Party. In this case, you’ll aslo get to use a table with four chairs. Both usually are for 20 guests (both kids and adults).

If you’re planning 25 or more guests, you can go for a Premium Plus Plunge Party where you get an additional couch and extended lounge space. There are also VIP Plunge Parties for those who want to enjoy the panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean and the Plunge Pool. Finally, you can book a Private Plunge Party for more intimate occasions.

2. Make a guest list

Once you’ve chosen the party type, make a list of people you wish to invite, ensuring not to exceed the number agreed upon with the venue owner.

3. Send invitations on time

You can send digital or old-school paper invitations to all the people you want to come. Don’t forget to send them in advance so your guests can plan to come.

4. Prepare food and drinks

In accordance with the Plunge policy, provide enough snacks and beverages for your guests. You can opt for full catering or bring your own food at a certain cost. Make sure to understand the venue’s alcohol and food policy as well.

5. Decorate

Decorations add a certain note to any event. You can choose a theme for your event and place balloons, banners, or other harmless items around your area. Confetti and glass aren’t allowed as they can damage the property or cause injuries.

6. Organize water activities

Depending on the type of party and the pool safety rules, you can set up fun water games, such as Marco Polo, water volleyball, relay races, etc. to keep your guests entertained. The inflatable obstacle course offers a lot of fun for people of all ages if used wisely.

7. Ensure the safety of your guests

Qualified lifeguards must be present at the event and all guests need to follow the pool etiquette and safety rules to prevent any accidents and injuries.
